THE BOSTON GLOBE - SUNSET BOULEVARD

"While we’re on the subject of pictures: Scenic designer Kyle Dixon has covered the NSMT walls with 100 large, framed photos of Ripley-as-Norma, and added another 40 photos of her within her mansion. It is an ambitious and masterfully executed concept, especially considering this is a theater whose in-the-round configuration often limits productions to rudimentary sets. The effect of Dixon’s design is to suggest that Norma has not just created a shrine to her career and bygone glamour but is fatally imprisoned by her own image."

The Providence Journal - Newsies

"Thanks to scenic designer Kyle Dixon, it’s a show with an epic feel, a Dickensian vibe with gritty two-story tenements squeezed into a modest space with no wings or backstage.."

Lancaster Online - it shoulda been you

"The creative team scores a bullseye with this production. Kyle Dixon’s set is a stunner – a lovely, flower-decorated hotel lobby framed in ornate white panels and centered by a staircase – which allows a lot of movement on an otherwise small stage, and infuses the production with energy. "

"Kyle Dixon wins again on the scenic design front, with a metal-based set, evoking, both literally and figuratively, the prison ambiance and a proscenium that gives the illusion of lead-lined stained glass when the curtains are drawn. The aforementioned courtroom carries his signature look, all angles and detail, and his use of levels throughout gives the stage a depth that is deceiving."

New York Theatre Guide - CAMELOT

"Added to an attractive set by Kyle Dixon, Camelot is visually stunning from beginning to end."

The Cue - CAMELOT

"The exquisite set design (Kyle Dixon) and creative lighting (Andrew Gmoser) quickly transport the audience to King Arthur’s enchanted empire."

Motif MAgazine - The producers

"Kyle Dixon’s scenic design here is a character in and of itself, all skewed perspective and functional cartoon. Impressively, a full recreation of Max’s office suite is delivered, all in white, at the top of Act Two, explained away by one of the show’s better meta-moments (“When did you have time to do all this?” “During intermission!”) and even stacks of newspapers and unread scripts draw appropriate focus long enough to admire the craft that went into their construction. ."

Journal Inquirer - The Legend Of Georgia McBride

"What’s exceptional is Kyle Dixon’s scenic design. He has captured the dinginess and the grime and mildew of a dank panhandle Florida bar on the verge of bankruptcy. Casey and Jo’s apartment doesn’t fare much better in appearances, as Dixon gives it an oppressive feel."

Broadway World - Murder for two

"The set design and lighting and sound worked together just as seamlessly as the actors. Kyle Dixon (set design) and Diana Duecker (lighting) brought characters and settings to life. What was pantomime became blurred by sound effects and lighting that suggested certain props were really there. An innovative use of shadows and doors made it possible for the show to go on without chopping it up with closed curtain scene changes. The set itself was all the haunted mansion you'd expect from a murder mystery, while also bringing the audience into what looks like a classic piano bar. "
